“Building bridges through food” was born out of the burning desire to bring home the people we have met over the years in our careers, people who have been mentors, colleagues, friends or simply people who inspired us and left a strong and lasting impression on us.
Until a few months ago, it was just a dream, hidden well in a corner of our souls, but it decided to materialize in the real world after a discussion with friends at the Green Garden. They wanted to make a local discussion session about small producers and the relationship with restaurants and they asked us if we could invite someone from outside of Romania to talk about “different” experiences. That was only the beginning.
We have had a lot of encouragement from our guest speakers and they have given us the confidence to move on, to involve ourselves 101% in this project and to do something for the local community.
None of the guests have ever been in Romania, but they enthusiastically embraced the idea of coming to Sibiu and discover our culture and gastronomy.
What is the purpose of this conference?
The goal is to build a strong bridge between local communities, small producers, chefs, sommeliers, FOH and all those working in the hospitality industry.
We want to bring together real professionals in the hospitality industry, people with vertigo, people from whom we can learn – real humble people who inspire us.

To whom are we addressing?
- First of all, hospitality professionals, chefs, sommeliers, front of house, restaurant owners and all those working in this industry.
- Small local producers, artisans and all those who have a connection with the field.
- Those who are passionate about or want to be part of this industry in the near future.
